There are 8 secondary schools, 41 primary schools, and 2 additional support needs schools in South Ayrshire Council.

Active Schools

Each school has an Active Schools Coordinator working within the school to create opportunities for extra-curricular sport and physical activity.

School Sport Award

Schools have the opportunity to apply for the sportscotland School Sport Awards each year which is designed to highlight and reward all the amazing work which takes place in every school.

Active Schools are now offering Free Girls Football Sessions for P3 & P4 aged girls.

These sessions are open to girls of all abilities.
