Braehead Primary School

Amy Paterson and Emma Hawkin from Belmont came into the school to deliver a Dance after school club which helped prepare the girls for the dance competition in Nov.

Adam leads our school netball team who meet every Monday night! The girls and boys will be taking part in the South Ayrshire league starting in Jan.

John McLean (parent volunteer coach) and Nicola Fisher (student volunteer coach and ex-Braehead pupil) lead the girls and boys football teams training with Adam every Friday. Both teams are competing in 8 competitions this year!

The P7s have recently completed their Junior Coaching Award and are putting it to good use by leading a Multi Sports Lunchtime Club for Primary 1 pupils and will be doing same for P2s in Jan-March.

We now have a Sports Council in the school who will be meeting regularly to discuss and plan how they can improve PE and Sport within Braehead Primary.
UWS Students have been working with to help develop Ball Skills through Basketball sessions.

Sports Leaders also were in school to deliver a multi sports clubs after school for P3s.

Pupils who try a sport at school and then join a local sports club are given the opportunity to present at school assembly to share their story and experience
