Kincaidston Primary School

Volunteering

Dance Leaders from Belmont Sarah Ferguson and Rachel Gilchrist delivered a dance after school club which worked towards the dance competition. They children did great and we thank the girls for coming in to work with the school.

Mr Robertson our P3 teacher is Head Coach of our School football team and gives up his time after school to run training sessions.

We also had sports leaders from Belmont come in to deliver an after school club and students from UWS deliver a handball lunchtime club. We entered out first ever Handball tournament and the children did great and really enjoyed it.

Leadership

The P7s have recently completed their Junior Coaching Award and will be putting it to good use by leading a Multi Sports Lunchtime Club for Primary 1 pupils.

Pathways

The school aims to create strong links with local sports clubs to develop pathways for pupils to take part in sport in their local community. They are very lucky to have many club coaches come into the school to work with the children and staff.

The school is currently receiving support and coaching from Ayr Rugby Football Club and Ayr United Football Club.

We also are lucky enough to receive support from Belmont Academy in supplying Sports Leaders and Coaching Academy pupils who deliver a range of extra-curricular clubs.
