Maidens PS has a school roll of 64 pupils this year and is situated in Maidens. The Head Teacher is Helen Hamilton.

Extra Curricular Activities

In term 1 there was a total of 4 extra curricular clubs on offer for children to attend. Each year group had the opportunity to attend at least 1 of these. In term 2 there will be 4 clubs on offer again to for children to take part in. These clubs are delivered either at lunchtime or after School.

Leadership

We have a strong partnership with Carrick Academy which allows their Sports Leaders to come to the School and practice their coaching skills delivering sport to the pupils at Maidens. This year we have Paul Thomson and Cameron Haggo who are both in S6. They are at Maidens delivering afterschool clubs as part of their Coaching Academy programme. We also run our P7 Junior Coaching Academy which has trained our P7’s to deliver sport and physical activity at lunchtimes to the younger pupils within the School.
