Forehill Primary School
We are encouraging all pupils to attend extra curricular sport at Forehill PS. Sessions have been taking place at lunch time, directly after school and in the early evening. During Term 1 twenty seven different clubs were on offer including activities such as football, gymnastics, fitness and badminton.
The after school basketball club has been very popular with P5-7 and numbers have grown from 4 to nearly 20! The club is ran by Gavin who volunteers his time each week and provides a great opportunity to Forehill pupils.
Our Primary 6 Junior Coaching Academy pupils have been developing leadership skills through working with the younger children in the school. Primary 1-3 have been taking part in a lunch time games club which has been organised by our fantastic leaders.
We have been very lucky to have Sports Leaders from Kyle Academy and Queen Margaret Academy working with our pupils. Our Netball and Dance Clubs have been led by senior pupils that have been volunteering their time during Term 1.
Well done everyone!
Competitive School Sports
Forehill PS will be represented at a range of Competitive School Sport Events during 2018/19. During Term 1 Mrs Baines, Mrs Sutherland and Mr McDowall have prepared and brought teams along to the following events – Girls Football, Swimming, Dance, Sporthall Atheltics and badminton.
Well done to Team Forehill who were winners of the Ayr Sportshall Athletics Heat and went on to compete at the South Ayrshire Finals.
The Swim Team also returned to school from the Ayrshire Schools Gala with 4 Gold and 7 Silver medals.
