Kingcase Primary School

Pathways

Kingcase has strong links with Prestwick Tennis Centre who deliver taster sessions for all the pupils. The pupils get the chance to have their sessions within the Tennis Centre and use the great facilities they have on offer.

Kingcase also works well with Howie Road bowling club and every year the P6 pupils get the opportunity to go along to the club and try bowls for a 6 week block of coaching. The pupils then have the chance to take part in the cluster bowling competition.

Leadership

Both P7 classes have taken part in the Junior Coaching Academy training programme, which is aimed at giving the pupils leadership skills in sport. Some of the pupils have already been involved in helping out at clubs with more to follow later in the year.

Volunteering

Mrs McDonald has been involved in delivering after school athletics and gymnastics sessions for pupils from P3-7. She prepared the P7 team to take part in the sportshall athletics event where Kingcase won the cluster heat. The gymnastics team are working towards the South Ayrshire competition which takes place at the end of Jan 2019.

Lisa and Eve are netball leaders from Prestwick Academy and they deliver netball sessions on a Friday after school for the P5-7 pupils.

Ryan is a sports leader from Prestwick Academy he has delivered a block of basketball for the P3 pupils and will be delivering more activities in the New Year.
