St Ninians Primary School
We are lucky to have support from a range of volunteers and local clubs to offer a range of extra-curricular clubs throughout the year including tennis, multisports, football, netball, basketball and dance. Every class within the school has opportunities to attend breakfast, lunchtime and after school clubs.
If you would be interested in volunteering we would love to hear from you – contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
St Ninians Primary School will be taking part in a variety of competitions during 2018-19. Well done to all pupils who took part in the Primary Cycling Championships and to Craig Watson (1st – P6 boys), Reece Fitzsimmons (3rd – P6 boys) and Connie Cassidy (2nd – P6 girls) for their brilliant performances!
Well done to all pupils from P3-P7 who took part in the South Ayrshire Dance Competition, for some of these pupils this was their first performance on stage and they did the school proud!
Junior Coaching Academy
P6 & 7 pupils have received 6 hours of leadership training through our Junior Coaching Academy which has enabled them to deliver activities to younger pupils in the school. Roddy, Ben, Campbell, Carly and Liam have been great young leaders delivering a breakfast multisport club to P1/2 pupils.
The school aims to create strong links with local sports clubs to develop pathways for pupils to attend sport in their local communities. Already during 2018-19 we have had support from Prestwick Tennis Centre, Ayr Storm Basketball and Glenburn Miners WFC.
We also are lucky enough to receive support from Queen Margaret Academy in supplying a variety of Young Leaders from our leadership programmes to deliver a range extra-curricular clubs throughout the year.
