Club Coach Volunteer

Are you a club coach in South Ayrshire looking to volunteer in your local Schools?

Active Schools can assist with the pathway from school sport to club sport by providing you with the opportunity to coach your sport within our extra-curricular programmes.

Whether you are looking to increase participation within your club or have a passion for a specific sport, Active Schools will provide you with the opportunities to reach all our children.

Here is Coylton Tennis Club Coach, Morris Thompson, talking about his experience of Active Schools and how this partnership has helped his club.

Club of the Term December 2018

The winners of our Club of the Term is Dailly Bowling Club

Dailly Bowling Club started working with Active Schools in May 2018 and have delivered 2 6 week blocks of a bowling afterschool club. Each week 4 members of the club attend the sessions to help coach the 15 P4-7 pupils from the primary school. In June some of the members of the club helped run the cluster competition at Ballantrae. The bowling club also held a schools competition with just the Dailly pupils and presented the winner’s trophy at assembly in June. The bowling club in term 1 have run both indoor and outdoor bowling sessions for the pupils and have now got a junior section which they didn’t have before.
